Educational Advocacy

Why an advocate?

The landscape of Special Education is tricky for even the most experienced person. An Advocate can coach parents through the process, review documents, accompany families to meetings, and even communicate with the district on your behalf.

Why Meredith?

Meredith has over 13 years of classroom experience, most of those in Special Education and Intervention. Since she has left the classroom she has focused on helping families reach their educational goals through tutoring, homeschooling, advocating for families within the public school system, and even assisting families in the court system. Feel free to schedule a free 30 minute consultation audio or video call to see if she can help you!

Testimonials

I wasn’t sure that we needed an educational advocate because we were already experienced with special education in our school district by the time our youngest child was in need of services.   However, after consulting with Meredith, I quickly realized that we could benefit from having her on our team.   I am an advocate in another field, so it wasn’t easy to let someone else take care of this task for my child, for me.  By doing so though, I was able to focus entirely on being my child’s parent and let Meredith handle the rest.  This took a load off my shoulders, the weight of which I didn’t fully realize until she picked it up.   Meredith is real.  She truly understands the struggle from the perspective of both the child and the parent.  She adapts to the needs of her clients and gets the job done compassionately, professionally and confidently. - MB

Meredith was extremely knowledgeable in special education regulations, which was integral for getting the appropriate services our son needed. Meredith was very dependable and able to contribute to meetings, both in person and remotely. She demonstrates a passion for helping students and their families, thereby reducing unnecessary stress and anxiety. We highly recommend Meredith to be a part of your team if your student or family requires her services. - SS
